Once again, I’m searching the youtubes for assholes who have posted videos in the last couple of days. You see, everyone wants to be a star, and as long as this is true, I will always have something to do on a Thursday Afternoon.
The first video is a cover of God Help the Girl’s “Down and Dusky Blonde.” Anna Wolk, Catherine Wolk, and Leah Hiravy. I choose this video because 1) last week, I listened to the EP this is from a few times, and I like the song, and 2) they show a lot of ambition, what with their studio time and video editing. It’s a little shaky at times, but that’s part of its charm…
The second one is from a couple of days ago. Igor Presnyakov covers Lady GaGa’s “Telephone,” and it is awesome for several reasons, First of all, his guitar playing is frickin’ rad, secondly, he has the balls to sing Lady GaGa, and third, his name is Igor Presnyakov. Rock on, Mr. Presnyakov.
This cover of Alicia Keys’s “Empire State of Mind Pt. II” by YouTube user sayiloveyoukate is short but pretty. I like the original song, too.
